Regular Season Round 7: Tartu - Valmiera Glass 83-101

Latvian undefeated leaderValmiera Glass delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they beat bottom-ranked Estonian Tartu (0-3) 101-83 . Valmiera Glass dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tartu 's 28 and made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Valmiera Glass players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Tartu was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kahliel Spear (200-2000, college: RMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Verners Kohs (203-1997) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Guard Martin Paasoja (191-1993, agency: Helping Ballers) answered with 16 points and 5 assists and American power forward Jalen Henry (203-1996, college: SIUE) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tartu. Five Valmiera Glass and four Tartu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valmiera Glass have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Tartu at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Dinamo and Spartak Pleven.
